Job summary

MMR Group is seeking a BIM Coordinator in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on creating and coordinating 3D BIM models, shop drawings, and as-builts alongside other trades. You will apply NEC and review construction docs to ensure accurate modeling and compliance.

You will work with site foremen and project management to resolve conflicts, perform site surveys, manage RFIs, and coordinate with designers. Strong BIM and detailing skills are essential for project success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associates degree or higher is preferred.
• Experience as BIM Coordinator, Detailer, or Modeler is required.
• Proficiency in MEP REVIT and Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Design models including coordination, shop drawings and as-builts.
• Assist with system design, model content and coordinate with other trades.
• Prepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment within project specs.
• Apply National Electrical Codes and read contract documents to guide 3D modeling.
• Review drawings for conflicts with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, fire alarm and structural docs.
• Coordinate RFIs and assist project management in issue resolution.
• Perform site surveys and field measurements to support design drawings.
