Riddle’s Glass in Billings, MT is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the Billings operation. This hands-on role focuses on building a strong team, nurturing customer relationships, and driving overall performance from daily operations to strategic growth.

The successful candidate will balance day-to-day leadership with a long-term growth mindset, overseeing safety, quality, and profitability while representing the company in the local market.

Qualifications

• Prior leadership experience in construction, trades, or related industry.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team.
• Strong business and financial acumen including budgeting, labor costs, and profitability.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with contractors, commercial customers, vendors, or construction-related projects preferred.
• Knowledge of glass and glazing is beneficial but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project/people management systems.
• Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to lead from the front and stay engaged in day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the overall operations and performance of the Billings location.
• Develop, coach, and manage employees to build a strong, accountable, customer-focused team.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, workload distribution, and daily workflow.
• Partner with sales, estimators, project managers, installers, and shop personnel to ensure projects are executed successfully.
• Monitor projects from initial sale through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, quality standards, and customer expectations are met.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, vendors, and other partners.
• Address customer concerns and resolve issues professionally.
• Monitor sales, labor costs, expenses, budgets, and location profitability.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales, improve processes, expand customer relationships, and grow the Billings market.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, equipment, and facility needs to support efficient operations.
• Ensure equipment and facilities are well maintained.
• Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety policies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Review performance and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and profitability.
• Collaborate with leadership to set goals and growth strategies.
• Represent Riddle’s Glass professionally within the Billings community.
