Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Billing Representative to support revenue cycle operations. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific time. You will reconcile patient and carrier claims and apply payments to ensure timely cash collection.

The role requires at least one year of medical administration experience, medical terminology knowledge, and keyboard speed of 55 WPM with high accuracy. Familiarity with Windows PC applications and Excel is helpful.

Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant experience in medical administration or similar role.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Must key 55 WPM with 95% accuracy.
• Meet established production and quality standards.
• Familiarity with Windows PC applications and basic IT troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Increase cash collection and reduce bad debt.
• Apply payments and denials to third party carriers.
• Interpret Explanation of Benefits for follow-up actions.
• Process refunds/adjustments with proper backup.
• Contact third party carriers for denied/unresponded claims.
• Analyze denials and process claims.
• Respond to billing inquiries from patients.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and daily production/quality standards.
• Overtime as needed.
