HX5 is a full-time opportunity in Fort Walton Beach, FL for an Accounting Specialist II. The role focuses on complex billing and financial reporting for government contracts, including cost analysis, accruals, and subcontractor invoice processing.

A BS in accounting is preferred and experience with Costpoint, Deltek, and Excel is valued. The position requires attention to detail, discretion, and confidentiality, with typical Monday–Friday hours and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in accounting from an accredited university a plus.
• Government contracting experience preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality a must.
• Ability to maintain high level of attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Completes monthly billing to the government or prime contractor on various contract types: Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable, Time & Materials.
• Completes monthly project financial reporting requirements (CDRLs, FMERS, EAC/ ETC).
• Analyzes financial information & labor hour utilization to determine present and future financial performance.
• Reviews costs for contract allowability and tracks contract modifications in Costpoint.
• Prepares monthly labor accruals and reviews subcontractor invoices as needed.
