Job summary

TGI Office Automation is seeking a Billing Specialist to join the Meters and Billing team in Fort Lauderdale. This role focuses on accurate monthly billing, issue resolution, and high-quality customer service for contracts and invoices.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in customer service and 2+ years in billing or accounting, with strong Excel skills. In-person work at our Fort Lauderdale location is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of customer service experience.
• At least 2 years of billing or accounting experience with knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Experience with eAutomate is a plus but not required.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Billing: Complete billing of all contracts within the designated queue by the monthly accounting deadline.
• Billing: Reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Billing: Generate and process customer invoices and credit memos accurately.
• Billing: Audit contract billing for accuracy; research and correct billing errors.
• Billing: Analyze invoice data and conduct contract billing research.
• Billing: Collaborate with Sales Representatives to answer billing and account history inquiries.
• Customer Service: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, team members, and internal departments.
• Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, services, and account issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Internal coordination: Coordinate with internal departments to fulfill customer requests and resolve billing issues.
• Additional Duties: Develop knowledge of Service department processes and software tools.
• Additional Duties: Make approximately 60+ meter collection calls per day.
• Additional Duties: Support Supply and Collections teams with order and invoice inquiries.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
