Palatine Park District is seeking a Billing Specialist who loves numbers and enjoys helping customers succeed. You will collaborate with the Recreation team to manage payments, deposits, and program fees, while delivering excellent service to patrons.

The role emphasizes accurate billing, reporting, and daily payment monitoring, with opportunities for professional growth and a supportive, inclusive work environment. The pay range is $23/hour to $25/hour, depending on qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Work with Recreation team to create payment timelines, deposits and processing fees.
• Communicate with program staff regarding fees and billing for programs.
• Interact with patrons on billing parameters and deadlines and to resolved billing requests, inquiries and concerns.
• Process monthly billing, provide reports in accordance with timeline.
• Monitor status of bill payments daily.
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Complete other finance duties as assigned or requested.
• Contribute to the overall success of the finance department through your dedication and expertise
