Job summary

Lifespace Communities is seeking a Billing Specialist for a Delray Beach community. You will manage resident billing, accounts receivable, and private pay processes, ensuring accurate statements and compliant collections.

This role supports residents, families, and operations with reliable billing and exceptional service. Experience in skilled nursing billing and healthcare billing is preferred; strong software and systems proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skilled nursing billing experience is required.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable and private pay billing processes.
• Proficiency with computer systems and billing software.
• Previous experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare billing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee resident billing and accounts receivable for an assigned community.
• Manage all resident private pay billing and accounts receivable activities.
• Generate, review, and distribute monthly resident statements.
• Post invoices, charges, payments, and billing adjustments accurately.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on delinquent accounts per policy.
• Participate in AR review meetings and recommend collection actions when appropriate.
• Prepare accounts for collection agency submission when necessary.
• Verify insurance coverage and complete pre-authorizations for admissions.
• Maintain accurate census information including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Ensure move-in documentation is complete and properly maintained.

What You'll Do

• As our Billing Specialist, you'll oversee resident billing and accounts receivable for an assigned community while serving as a trusted resource for residents, families, and team members.
