Job summary

Lifespace Communities in Delray Beach, FL is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join the community team and ensure accurate resident billing, AR and exceptional customer service for residents, families, and staff.

The role requires skilled nursing billing experience, AR expertise, and computing/billing software proficiency. You will manage private pay billing, generate monthly statements, monitor balances, and support the admissions process with insurance verifications.

Qualifications

• Skilled nursing billing experience is required.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable and private pay billing processes.
• Proficiency with computer systems and billing software.
• Experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare billing.

Responsibilities

• Manage resident billing and accounts receivable for an assigned community.
• Generate, review, and distribute monthly resident statements.
• Post invoices, charges, payments, and billing adjustments accurately.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on delinquent accounts in accordance with company policies.
• Participate in Accounts Receivable review meetings and recommend collection actions when appropriate.
• Prepare accounts for collection agency submission when necessary.
• Verify insurance coverage and complete pre-authorizations for admissions.
• Maintain accurate census information, including resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Ensure move-in documentation is complete and properly maintained.

What You'll Do
