Job summary

Orb’s Implementation Architect on the Customer Success team is the technical partner guiding customers from go-live through ongoing value realization, ensuring billing integrations are robust and scalable.

You’ll map pricing models to Orb, collaborate with product and engineering, own API design decisions, and contribute to best practices while serving as a trusted technical advisor to strategic accounts in a hybrid, in-office-3-days-per-week culture.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a technical post-sales role such as solutions engineering or technical account management.
• Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, and system integration; able to read API docs and explain tradeoffs.
• Comfortable with SQL and navigating complex data relationships.
• Proven ability to own customer relationships through implementation and onboarding.
• Able to translate business requirements into technical architecture and communicate with engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation kickoffs and technical discovery to understand pricing models, data architecture, and integration requirements.
• Design and recommend approaches that map complex business logic—usage-based pricing, hybrid models, credits, commitments.
• Guide customers through API design decisions, event ingestion patterns, webhook configuration, and invoice customization.
• Troubleshoot implementation challenges and unblock customers when they get stuck.
• Serve as the ongoing technical point of contact for strategic accounts.
• Partner with Customer Success to ensure smooth handoffs and long-term customer health.
• Build trusted relationships with customer engineering, finance, and product teams.
• Identify patterns where multiple customers hit the same friction points and advocate for product improvements.
• Contribute to documentation, best practices, and reference architectures that accelerate future implementations.
