Responsibilities

• Account maintenance: update registrations, perform charge corrections, debits and credits memos per policies.
• Post payments to the appropriate system for research-related services; resolve payment issues by communicating and gathering information.
• Respond to incoming calls related to research billing; research accounts and take appropriate actions while documenting findings.
• Review accounts on hold with charges for research services; add diagnosis/modifiers as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer requirements; read payer newsletters and communicate changes or trends.
• Maintain productivity and meet 80% quality standards set by the department; achieve department production goals.
• Perform other related duties; use EMR and billing systems.
