MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) in South Carolina seeks an Accounts Billing Clerk. You will perform account maintenance, process adjustments, denials, and ensure accuracy across registration and charges, while communicating payer issues to leadership.

You will post payments, respond to billing inquiries, research accounts, document actions, and stay current with payer requirements. Proficiency with EMR and billing systems is expected; strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualificações

• Education: High School Degree or Equivalent.
• Work Experience: 1 year.

Responsabilidades

• Account maintenance: update registration, charge corrections, and memos per policy.
• Post payments to the appropriate system for research-related services and resolve payment issues.
• Respond to incoming calls related to research billing and document actions taken.
• Review accounts on hold and add research-related diagnosis/modifiers as needed.
• Use electronic medical record and billing systems; stay updated on payer requirements.
