Job summary

Waystar seeks a Billing Platform Functional Analyst to own the billing platform configuration, data integrity, and lead-to-customer activation across Salesforce CPQ, Waystar, and Oracle NetSuite. You will drive automation, monitor data flows, and ensure ASC 606-compliant revenue recognition.

You will work within IS/IO change control, collaborate with data engineering, and contribute to KPI dashboards in Snowflake/BigQuery and Power BI to support Finance and Revenue Operations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of functional systems administration, billing operations, or finance tech within IS/IT or Revenue Operations.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL proficiency; write complex queries and troubleshoot integration issues.
• Hands-on experience with a commercial billing/subscription platform; understand bill plans and invoice workflows.
• Familiarity with Salesforce CPQ data structures and downstream billing implications.
• Understanding ASC 606 revenue recognition fundamentals and impact on billing configuration.
• Experience with IS/IO change control, documentation, and release management processes.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day configuration, data model updates, and table-level administration of the billing platform within IS/IO change control.
• Maintain and evolve billing rule sets, pricing structures, bill plan templates, and product hierarchy configurations.
• Manage lead-to-customer activation workflow: validate data from Salesforce CPQ, resolve bill plan exceptions, ensure completeness before invoicing.
• Own data mapping and field alignment between the billing platform and Oracle NetSuite for accurate invoicing and ASC 606 recognition.
• Support platform upgrades, patch testing, and production release validation with IS/IO teams.
• Design automated data validation routines to catch billing errors and data quality issues.
