Penn Medicine is seeking a Billing Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the hospital billing office, ensuring accurate billing, timely payment collection, and effective denial management. This leadership role requires strong collaboration with departments and practice staff to support revenue cycle goals.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or healthcare and 3+ years of supervisory experience in hospital billing, or a HS diploma with 7+ years of revenue

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or healthcare and 3+ years supervisory or managerial experience in hospital/physician billing; or HS diploma with 7+ years billing/revenue cycle experience.
• Experience in revenue cycle workflow and third-party reimbursement guidelines.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to monitor KPI data.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily billing office operations to ensure timely and accurate charges and denials resolution.
• Lead staff across Data Entry, Charge Capture, Cash Posting, Follow-Up, and Customer Service.
• Develop policies to maximize reimbursement while ensuring compliance with third-party guidelines.
• Monitor KPI metrics and supervise staff performance, training, and evaluations.
