Job summary

Onward Legal Innovation in Dallas is seeking a Billing Manager to lead a 10+ person billing team, designing and continuously improving the firm’s billing support model for clients and attorneys. You will build trusted partnerships with partners, department chairs, and practice leadership, coaching an agile team of billing professionals.

The role offers a hybrid work setup with 3 days in the office and a competitive compensation package including benefits and a bonus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience within the billing/revenue cycle of a law firm.
• 3+ years as a people manager within a law firm revenue cycle (at least 8 people).
• Prior Elite 3E legal finance software experience strongly desired.
• Experience supporting complex billing structures in a large law firm environment.
• Deep understanding of legal billing and collection processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop a proactive billing support model that anticipates attorney and client needs.
• Partner with the Billing Operations Manager on training and onboarding for new billers.
• Monitor team performance, service levels, and operational trends.
• Establish and refine billing policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Build, mentor, and cross-train an agile billing team.
• Identify workflow redesign and process improvement opportunities.

Our client, a leading national AmLaw 50 law firm, seeks a Billing Manager with a law firm background to lead its Business Law billing team of at least ten people. You will design and continuously improve the firm's billing support model for clients and attorneys, build trusted partnerships with partners, department chairs, and practice leadership, and coach an agile team of billing professionals.

Chicago OR Dallas OR Houston: $128,600 to $192,900; + Bens + Bonus

Florida: Orlando or Tampa: $116,900 to $175,400 + Bens + Bonus

Hybrid: 3 days in the office

About You
