Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with medical billing and third-party payer procedures preferred.
• Ability to operate computers and basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and submits clean claims to various insurance companies either electronically or by paper.
• Answers questions from patients, clerical staff and insurance companies.
• Identifies and resolves patient billing complaints.
• Performs various collection actions including contacting patients by phone for insurance information, correcting and resubmitting claims to third party payers.
• Answers incoming phone calls when needed.
• Relieves front desk during lunch on assigned weekly basis and will take patient payments, answer the phones and assist patients with questions.
