Job summary

Conservative Care Occupational Health (CCOH) in Springdale, Arkansas is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join our billing team. The role focuses on accounts receivable and collections while supporting daily billing operations and related duties in an in-person setting.

The ideal candidate will manage outstanding balances, communicate with clients and payers by phone and email, and maintain accurate billing records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Mid-level professional collections or accounts receivable experience with direct responsibility for following up on outstanding balances and securing payment.
• Experience communicating with customers, clients, payers, or account holders by phone and email regarding balances.
• Comfortable making collection calls and handling difficult conversations professionally.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills with multiple accounts.
• Accurate data-entry skills; proficiency with billing, accounting, or practice-management systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and collection activities to ensure timely payment.
• Contact clients, employers, insurance carriers, and other parties by phone and email regarding balances and payment status.
• Follow up on past-due accounts and document collection efforts.
• Research discrepancies and determine next steps for payment issues.
• Complete daily electronic and paper billing within timelines.
• Prepare, review, and submit invoices, claims, and statements.
• Post payments, adjustments, and notes in billing systems.
• Maintain accurate account records and respond to billing questions.
