Job summary

PearlPearl is scaling its Billing, AR, and Collections function across SMB and Enterprise accounts, seeking a builder to own end-to-end processes and implement scalable controls. This role reports to the Controller and will shape the future of billing operations as the company approaches $100M+ ARR.

You will lead a growing team, collaborate with Sales, CS, Legal, and RevOps to optimize cash flow and reduce disputes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in billing, accounts receivable, or collections, in a startup or fast-growth environment.
• Direct experience building AR/billing processes and systems from scratch.
• Experience managing both high-volume SMB/subscription and complex Enterprise/contract-driven billing.
• Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills and experience with modern billing/ERP systems (NetSuite, Stripe Billing, Zuora or similar).
• Clear judgment on when to enforce terms and how to structure disputes with customers.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end billing and invoicing for SMB customers, including recurring and usage-based charges.
• Oversee the collections process, maintain timely follow-ups, and resolve aging receivables.
• Monitor AR aging across SMB; drive down DSO and reduce delinquency.
• Partner with Sales, CS, and Legal to ensure accurate billing terms and discounting.
• Build and scale billing/AR tooling, policies, and reporting as PearlPearl grows.
