Job summary

QBE, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to own the full billing cycle—from invoicing to cash receipt—within our government contracting business near Haymarket, VA. You will manage customer billing and AR in Unanet, support program managers, and work closely with the Controller on month-end close.

This role fits a candidate with 2+ years of hands-on AR experience and desire for ownership, with a hybrid schedule: three days in the Haymarket office and two days remote.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of AR experience including invoicing, cash application, collections and reconciliations.
• Hands-on experience working in Unanet is required.
• Experience with accounts payable, expense reports, and bank/credit card reconciliations.
• Knowledge of the general ledger and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Billing & AR: Prepare and review customer invoices, apply cash, follow up on collections, reconcile AR.
• Unanet setup: Maintain customer, project and billing records in Unanet.
• Accounts payable & expenses: Process vendor invoices, coding, approvals and payments; review expense reports.
• Reconciliations & close: Bank, credit card, GL reconciliations; prepare journal entries and monthly close.
