QBE, LLC in Haymarket, VA is seeking a Staff Accountant to own the full billing cycle for our government contracting business. You will prepare invoices, apply cash, manage accounts receivable, and contribute to timely month-end close, working closely with the Controller and program managers.

The role requires 2+ years of AR and billing experience, hands-on Unanet, and strong Excel skills. This is a hybrid position with three days in the Haymarket office and two days remote, offering growth into

• 2+ years of accounting experience with AR and billing
• Hands-on experience with Unanet
• Experience with AP, expense reports, and bank/Credit card reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet recurring deadlines

Responsabilidades

• Billing and AR: issue invoices, apply cash, follow up on collections, and reconcile AR.
• Set up and maintain customer, project and billing records in Unanet.
• Process vendor invoices, coding, approvals and payments; reconcile vendor accounts.
• Perform bank, credit card and GL reconciliations; prepare routine journal entries and assist month-end close.
• Review timesheets; coordinate corrections and ensure proper payroll/billing recording.
• Support program control: labor/cost analysis and budgeting vs actuals.
• Partner with Controller on process improvements and audits.
