Job summary

General Dynamics NASSCO in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Billing Analyst to manage invoices and the accounts receivable cycle. You will ensure contract terms are reflected in billed amounts and support monthly closing processes.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years’ related experience, a business-related undergrad degree, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects with cross-functional teams. On-site role with contributing to defense and commercial ship repair finance.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3–7 years of related billing/accounting experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and government representatives.

Responsibilities

• Performs all billing functions, including preparation, review and submittal of invoices.
• Reviews contract terms and applies them to customer invoices.
• Reconciles billings to the Accounts Receivable general ledger accounts.
• Identifies opportunities and implements process improvements for efficiency.
• Maintains and updates approved billing rates and dry docking days.
• Monitors billing cycles and AR aging; works with customers to shorten cycle times.
