Job summary

Altocare is seeking a Billing Accountant to manage the billing and accounts receivable cycle, own related journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close reporting. You will act as a primary contact for franchisees, clients, and payers on billing questions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness with a high volume of recurring deadlines.

This hybrid role (after training) requires a detail-oriented professional who can maintain meticulous records, ensure GAAP compliance, and communicate clearly

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of accounting, billing, or AR experience in healthcare or franchise contexts.
• Familiar with GAAP, revenue recognition, and accrual accounting.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and issue invoices including recurring franchise royalty and client billing.
• Post and apply customer payments and credits; resolve unapplied cash.
• Monitor AR aging and collections follow-up.
• Prepare journal entries for revenue and AR during monthly close.
• Support GAAP compliance and internal controls over billing.
• Assist with audits by providing AR and revenue schedules.
