Job summary

Deepgram is seeking a Billing & Analytics Engineer to own the end-to-end billing pipeline and revenue-grade analytics for our usage-based platform. You will design ingestion, metering, rating, invoicing, and CRM integrations, delivering secure, scalable billing with real-time visibility for customers and internal teams.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with Finance, RevOps, Product, and Growth, leveraging Rust and a mix of Python/TypeScript/Go on a scalable data stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating billing, payments, metering, or financial data systems in a SaaS or usage-based pricing environment.
• Strong backend engineering skills, preferably in Rust, and in at least one of: Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Go, or similar.
• Hands-on experience integrating with billing or subscription platforms and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the billing pipeline from usage ingestion to invoicing and CRM integration.
• Own analytics surfaces showing real-time and historical usage, spend, and plan details.
• Develop self-service billing experiences within the console and enable plan upgrades and invoices retrieval.
• Ensure data integrity, reconciliation, and security across billing and access controls.
