Job summary

Everstand is seeking an Educational Support Specialist to support supervision, education, and treatment needs of youth in both residential and school settings. Working under the classroom teacher’s direction, you will help implement instructional plans, support individualized student needs, manage challenges, and build positive, trusting relationships with youth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• One year of child welfare experience working with children and/or adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Support supervision, education, and treatment needs of students in residential and school settings.
• Assist with implementing instructional plans and supporting individualized student needs.
• Build healthy, trusting relationships with youth and maintain appropriate student-to-staff ratios.
• Support behavior management and safety procedures.
• Assist with transportation, meals, recreation, and activities as needed.
