Shankle Law Firm in Charlotte, NC is seeking a bilingual Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant (English/Spanish) to support our team. You'll work with paralegals to keep cases organized from intake to settlement, serving as a friendly, reliable voice for Spanish-speaking clients.

The role emphasizes organization, attention to detail, customer service, and comfort with Microsoft 365 and case management systems; training will be provided for the specific practice software.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Office, customer service, or legal experience; law firm or workers' comp experience is a plus, but training provided.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Patient and kind with clients who may be stressed or in pain.
• Comfortable with computers and learning new software.

Responsibilities

• Get new cases started by sending paperwork, setting up matters, and uploading documents to portals.
• Keep cases moving by handling forms, following up on records, and managing filings.
• Take care of clients by coordinating communications and handling scheduling and form explanations.
• Wrap up cases with settlement paperwork, notices, and post-settlement follow-ups.
• Greet walk-ins and assist clients picking up settlement checks.
