MATERNAL AND FAMILY HEALTH SERVICES INC. in Scranton is seeking a full-time Program Assistant at the WIC location to support eligibility screenings and nutrition education for women, children, and families.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years’ experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and perform basic measurements.

Responsibilities

• Explain program purpose and what to expect at the appointment.
• Verify identification, residency, and income eligibility.
• Perform and record hematological and anthropometric measurements.
• Provide nutrition and breastfeeding contacts according to policy.
• Explain food instruments and E-WIC card usage.
• Provide referrals and participate in training updates.
