Internal Title: Water Resource Planner I/II

Work Environment: Hybrid (2-3 days / week in-office)

Compensation: $60,000-$85,000 annually*

How You'll Make an Impact

We seek an entry-level water resources planner with 2+ years of experience in water resources and watershed planning. The role involves working with agencies and clients on land and natural resources planning, including IRWMPs, GSPs, Watershed Plans, and climate resilience strategies. The position is hybrid, with 2-3 days in the office weekly.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform planning from entitlement to project implementation for complex projects.
  2. Prepare planning documents such as IRWM Plans, GSP sections, Drought Response, and Hazard Mitigation Plans.
  3. Research applicable laws, funding, and local plans.
  4. Collect and interpret scientific and socio-economic data.
  5. Coordinate and participate in public outreach, including bilingual presentations.
  6. Work on grant applications and project scoping.
  7. Conduct spatial analysis and create maps using ArcGIS and Adobe Suite.
  8. Represent Dudek professionally, demonstrating creativity and innovation.
  9. Collaborate with project managers to promote business interests.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in planning or related field.
  • 2+ years relevant experience in water resources planning and project execution.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish, with strong communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and active insurance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree encouraged.
  • Interest in diverse projects, California law, and bilingual outreach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and inquisitiveness.
Additional Details

Final salary depends on experience, education, and skills. Candidates must pass pre-employment drug and background checks.
