Job summary

The Village for Families & Children seeks a bilingual Financial Opportunity Center (FOC) Coordinator to lead and expand the VITA program across Greater Hartford, Enfield, Manchester, and Windham. You will oversee operations, coordinate sites, recruit volunteers, and ensure IRS compliance.

You will collaborate with partners and staff to connect tax filers with financial coaching and resources, driving financial empowerment for local families in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience totaling at least four years will be considered.
• Experience coordinating programs, projects, or community initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, and expansion of the annual VITA/EITC campaign.
• Coordinate multiple tax preparation sites and ensure IRS Quality Site compliance.
• Recruit, support, and collaborate with volunteers and site coordinators.
• Track program performance and analyze data to guide decisions.
• Connect tax filers with financial coaching and supportive services.
