Job summary

SPN Solutions seeks a Bilingual (English/Spanish) UX Designer and Content Lead to own research, design, and multilingual copy for a federal health reporting app. You will lead discovery with stakeholders and clinicians, craft flows, prototypes, and Spanish content, ensuring parity across all user interfaces.

You will write clear, plain-language copy in both languages, coordinate accessibility reviews, and drive federal clearance readiness. Hybrid role in Fairfax, starting October 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HCI, design, communications, public health or related field; 6 years UX/content design experience (10 years may substitute).
• Native or near-native fluency in written/spoken Spanish and English; tested at interview.
• Portfolio showing research, flows, wireframes and shipped forms/transactions.
• Usability testing planned, ran and translated into design changes.
• Plain-language writing samples in both languages.
• Experience in healthcare informatics or related healthcare IT (preferred).
• Ability to obtain federal Public Trust determination.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run discovery and usability research with stakeholders and clinicians in English/Spanish.
• Produce user flows, wireframes and clickable prototypes for agency review.
• Redesign landing page and navigation around user tasks.
• Write all user-visible text in plain language in both languages.
• Ensure English/Spanish parity across forms, surveys and navigation.
• Design customer satisfaction surveys and prepare for federal clearance.
• Define metrics for completion/abandonment with Program Manager.
• Write public and healthcare-provider user guides.
• Coordinate Spanish linguistic review and screen-reader testing.
