Job summary

Citi is seeking an entry-level Universal Banker to join our Washington-area branches. This role supports the customer service team in executing sales, products, and services to build loyalty and grow Citi's consumer client base.

The position emphasizes compliant, accurate service delivery and effective communication with customers while contributing to branch sales goals. Previous retail banking experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Previous Retail Banking or similar experience required
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic account opening for existing customers
• Provide service delivery to resolve account issues
• Execute financial transactions per bank policies and procedures
• Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate
• Create sales opportunities from service transactions and resolve customer complaints quickly
• Support sales/service activities within the branch by participating in events and campaigns
• Adhere to operational controls to ensure safety and compliance of assets
• Assess risk and ensure ethical conduct and regulatory compliance
