Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington is seeking a Training Specialist to assist in coordinating the DC Pre-Apprenticeship Construction program. You will help develop lesson plans, conduct training, and maintain student records and evaluations.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in training, and bilingual Spanish-English abilities. The role supports clients preparing for employment and success within the program’s educational services.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a training environment.
• Experience working with the Latino community.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Program Supervisor in publicity, enrollment, orientation, and operations.
• Conduct classroom training sessions and substitute for instructors as needed.
• Provide tutoring support and coordinate testing processes (CASAS, PACT, NCEER).
• Administer student tests, evaluate results, and track certifications.
• Prepare reports, surveys, and promotional materials.
• Coordinate with Workforce Development Program to ensure clients have resources for employment.
