Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington is seeking a Training Specialist to support the DC Pre-Apprenticeship Construction program. You will help prepare lesson plans, conduct training, provide tutoring, coordinate testing processes, evaluate results, and maintain student records and case notes.

The role involves collaboration with the program supervisor and workforce development colleagues to ensure clients receive resources and support to prepare for, gain, and retain employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in a training environment.
• Experience working with the Latino community.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the DC Pre-Apprenticeship Construction program with the Program Supervisor.
• Conduct classroom training sessions and substitute as needed.
• Provide tutoring support and student testing support (CASAS, PACT, NCEER).
• Maintain student records and case notes; track certifications.
• Assist in administering satisfaction surveys to students and contractors.
• Collaborate with Workforce Development to help clients gain and retain employment.
• Prepare program reports, surveys, and promotional materials.
