Job summary

PenFed Credit Union is hiring a Teller to work onsite at the Fort Buchanan Puerto Rico Financial Center. The role focuses on member service, teller transactions, product sales, accurate balancing, and operational duties.

The candidate may assist in training other branch staff and will work with the BSR sales team to deliver a best-in-class member experience. Equivalency of education and experience is acceptable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of superior customer service experience is required.
• Teller experience is preferred.
• Valid Notary Public, preferred (not applicable for Puerto Rico locations)
• Bilingual-Spanish/English required.
• Experience using AI tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and greet current and prospective members in person or on the phone.
• Evaluate needs of potential members and offer appropriate financial products and services.
• Identify sales opportunities using questions to uncover financial needs and present options.
• Maintain knowledge of PenFed products and services (membership, checking, credit cards, loans).
• Provide ongoing relationship with members to gain additional services and match to PenFed products.
• Assist members with PenFed Online (PFOL), mobile banking and other remote channels.
