You will structure complex manuals, validate data with engineers, and edit for clarity across HTML and PDF formats. Portland-based, hybrid schedule; salary range $65,000–$83,000 with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in English/Writing/Journalism or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years in technical content development or technical writing.
• Ability to develop/format manuals and service bulletins for readability.
• Experience with HTML content or XML content in DITA format.
• Strong English grammar and vocabulary.

Responsibilities

• Writes documentation for technical products and operations.
• Determines structure and layout for complex manuals.
• Researches with technical staff to accurately interpret data and drawings.
• Ensures content reviews and updates are incorporated.
• Edits content to improve clarity, flow and readability.
