Job summary

Kidango is hiring a Teacher Aide for the Toyon Center in San Jose, CA. In a Dual Language Immersion EHS program, you will model language using Spanish, Vietnamese, or Mandarin and support daily activities, health, safety, and learning experiences for children.

You will work with staff to implement curriculum, communicate with families, and assist in planning learning environments. Requires 6 ECE units and a bilingual skill set; benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate Teacher Permit or higher credential.
• Bi-Literate in Spanish (required) and/or Mandarin, Vietnamese (Preferred).
• Prior experience working with young children is preferred.
• Immunization records compliant with SB 792 (measles, pertussis, influenza).
• Must be a mandated abuse reporter.
• 6 ECE units required (3+ infant/toddler units preferred).

Responsibilities

• Language model role using Spanish, Vietnamese, or Mandarin during center hours.
• Plan, prepare, and implement daily program for indoor/outdoor curriculum.
• Maintain safe, clean learning environments and prepare materials.
• Support health, safety, and well-being of all children.
• Communicate regularly with parents as directed.
• Assist Center Director, Lead Teachers, or Associate Teachers.
• Support volunteers and attend required meetings.
• Pursue professional growth activities.
