Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will lead the team in servicing customers and may manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence or opposing shifts.

Qualified candidates should have Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification, with Spanish language proficiency being a plus.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…)
• Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends)
• Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members
• Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews
• Make sure telephone is answered according to company policy
• Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner
• Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently
• Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed in an efficient and friendly manner
• Ensure all merchandise is invoiced before product leaves the store
• Ensure Zipline messages, Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed
• Ensure compliance with posted work schedule and clocking in/out procedures
• Perform all store opening/closing duties and day end procedures
• Assist in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, and delivery vehicles
• All other duties as assigned
