Job summary

The Catholic Diocese of Richmond is seeking a Coordinator for Hispanic Stewardship to support growth of stewardship and development within Hispanic communities. You will work closely with parish ministry leaders, plan parish-based initiatives, and coordinate bilingual communications to ensure inclusive, culturally responsive engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience in parish ministry, administrative support, nonprofit work, or development support.
• Fluency in Spanish and English (required), with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to engage effectively with Hispanic communities with cultural sensitivity.
• Experience coordinating events, programs, and parish/ministry initiatives.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support parish-based stewardship and discipleship initiatives, incl. workshops and pilot programs.
• Coordinate logistics for parish visits, meetings, events, and follow-up activities.
• Maintain communication with parish staff and ministry leaders to support engagement.
• Assist with development and coordination of parish-based teams or committees.
• Support bilingual communications strategies in Spanish and English.
• Ensure timely, pastorally sensitive communication with parishes and stakeholders.
• Build relationships with clergy, staff, volunteers, and community leaders.
• Identify and engage parish leaders and volunteers for initiatives.
• Manage calendars, meetings, and logistics for trainings and gatherings.
• Track participation and gather feedback to support evaluation and expansion.
