Job summary

The Charlotte Diocese seeks a Vicariate Hispanic Ministry Coordinator to oversee and support Hispanic ministries. This role includes guiding the Hispanic community, preparing catechists, and maintaining financial records for programs.

Candidates should have 2-4 years’ experience in Hispanic ministry at the parish level, be a practicing Catholic, and possess strong bilingual communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-4 years working in Hispanic Ministry at the parish level.
• 2+ years working in Hispanic Ministry at the diocesan level preferred.
• Must be a practicing Catholic in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church.
• Pastoral experience in working with multiple cultures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accompany the Hispanic Faithful in their journey of Faith.
• Provide guidance for Hispanic catechists in preparation for various ministries.
• Offer training in family crisis support and liturgical ministries.
• Maintain financial records for Hispanic Ministry programs.

Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English

Basic computer knowledge including MS Office

Strong listening and empathy

Organizational skills

Intermediate to advanced computer skills

Familiarity with social media

Education

Formation/Certification in Hispanic Pastoral Leadership
