Requirements

• Six months of work experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred
• Ability to work effectively with co-workers in a team environment
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• High school diploma, high school equivalency, or current high school attendance
• At least 18 years old
• Successful background investigation

Job Description

Under immediate supervision, provides exceptional customer service, involving receipt and payment of cash, in a high-volume sales environment. Responsibilities include:

1. Following established policies according to bank and supervisor guidelines
2. Achieving monthly new account production targets
3. Processing deposits and payouts accurately, balancing daily transactions
4. Verifying cash and checks, preventing counterfeit acceptance
5. Entering transactions into the computer and issuing receipts
6. Selling and preparing money orders, cashier's checks, wires, bonds, travelers' checks, and CDs
7. Processing Western Union wires and cash advances
8. Cross-selling bank services and products
9. Serving a diverse customer base, including Spanish speakers
10. Performing additional tasks as assigned by supervisors

Environmental and Physical Requirements

• Standing or walking for extended periods
• Working in a high-volume, stressful, noisy environment
• Operating computers and office machinery
• Lifting up to 25 lbs
