Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Richardson, TX seeks a bilingual English/Spanish Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team. TX SLPA licensure and at least 6 months of full-time clinical experience, with pediatrics exposure, are required.

The role involves delivering skilled therapy per physician orders in patients’ homes or daytime facilities. Responsibilities include supervising visits with the SLP, collaborating with the care team, and planning care to meet therapy goals.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Texas SLPA licensure required.
• Minimum 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
