Job summary

Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) seeks a Spanish GED Instructor for a part-time role delivering GED instruction in Spanish to adults 16+. You will address math, reading, writing, science, social studies, technology, and workforce prep aligned with AEFLA and KBOR requirements.

The position is up to 29 hours/week, primarily at the Main Campus or KCK CEHWC, with evening/weekend options as needed. Strong Spanish proficiency and bilingual communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education, adult education, or related field.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• Experience or coursework in adult education methodology to improve learner skills.
• Strong organizational, communication, and data management skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach GED instruction in Spanish across math, reading, writing, science, and social studies.
• Advise students during enrollment and at regular intervals on scores and goals.
• Administer assessments per KBOR PAM guidelines and track progress.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with absent students via phone or email.
• Use AESIS/LACES to track attendance, progress, and outcomes; participate in PD.
