Job summary

Lukos seeks a Social Worker/Custody and Removal Coordinator in Pearsall, TX to aid ICE detention operations, address detainee needs, and support vulnerable populations with translation and case coordination.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Social Work or equivalent, with English/Spanish fluency and relevant experience; Master’s degree preferred. Travel to facilities may be involved; U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Degree issuing institution and or program must be accredited by an entity recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Bachelor's degree in Social work, Psychology, or an equivalent degree.
• Master's degree or an equivalent advanced degree preferred but not required
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and oral

Responsibilities

• Assist with needs, requests from detained noncitizens regarding non-officer or immigration case related issues.
• Assist ERO staff with parent/child communication and/or child welfare involvement.
• Coordinate disability accommodations and follow-up with detention facilities.
• Provide language interpretation for facility and ERO staff.
• Support release and removal planning for vulnerable noncitizens.
