Job summary

The Food Bank of Central North Carolina seeks a Bilingual Community Outreach Coordinator to advance SNAP access and address food insecurity across its 34-county service area. You will connect neighbors to resources, provide screening and SNAP application support, and collaborate with community partners to expand program reach.

Ideal candidates have at least 4 years in outreach or related fields, strong Spanish communication skills, and the ability to travel within the service area.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree (Associate or Bachelor) in Social Work, Public Health, Non-Profit Management or relevant field.
A minimum of four (4) years in community outreach, public benefits, resource navigation, or related field may substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized food and benefits resource navigation, including screening and SNAP application assistance.
Conduct targeted outreach to high-impact populations and communities facing barriers to access.
Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, government entities, and stakeholders to expand SNAP and Food Bank access.
Develop and deliver education, presentations, and training for partners on SNAP and resource navigation.
