Job summary

SNFout in New York seeks a SNAP Specialist to guide residents in Far Rockaway and the Five Towns through SNAP eligibility and applications, with flexible part-time or full-time options.

You will advocate for clients to receive and maintain benefits, assist with data entry, and help build strong community partnerships through events and outreach.

Bilingual English/Spanish is required; fluency in Spanish is essential. Training is provided to newcomers.

• No experience required; all training is provided

Responsibilities

• Help community members apply for SNAP (food stamp) benefits
• Advocate for clients to receive and maintain their SNAP benefits
• Educate the community about SNAP eligibility and benefits
• Participate in community events and strengthen local partnerships
• Maintain a database of client information and outreach activities and complete reports as needed
