Job summary

Colorado SBDC serving Aurora South Metro is seeking a seasoned Small Business Advisor who can guide startups and established businesses through planning, financing, and growth strategies. Bilingual in English and Spanish, you will develop training and assist with lending processes to strengthen local entrepreneurship.

You will collaborate with city partners, deliver workshops across Arapahoe and Douglas counties, analyze financials, and report on outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business-related field.
• At least 5 years of experience leading economic development or small business programs.
• Spanish language skills are a significant asset.
• Experience with training and facilitation.
• Knowledge of business finance and lending basics.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct advising in English and Spanish to existing and start-up businesses.
• Assist in preparing business plans and financing arrangements.
• Develop and promote small business retention and attraction programs.
• Design and deliver training courses for small businesses.
• Coordinate with city and SBDC partners and report on trends and lending environments.
• Host training sessions across counties.
• Maintain client notes and data in SBDC databases.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
