Job summary

NexGen Contracting, A Gray Company is seeking a Site Safety Manager in Boardman, Oregon to lead safety programs on large-scale industrial projects. You will partner with the site management team to implement policies, conduct training, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

The role requires 5+ years in safety leadership, CPR and OSHA 30 certifications, and strong risk management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years in large-scale commercial or industrial project management.
• Minimum 3 years of management-level safety experience.
• Current CPR and OSHA 30-hour construction safety certifications.
• Strong risk assessment, planning, and communication abilities.
• Experience with time reporting systems and safety documentation.
• Tilt panel construction experience.
• Ability to multitask and lead safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Works with site management to maintain a safe workplace and develop policies and procedures.
• Conducts safety meetings, audits, and follow-up assessments.
• Plans and conducts safety, environmental health, and compliance training programs.
• Manages comprehensive safety programs on premises or project sites.
• Guides project teams on health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Develops Emergency Action Plan and handles incident notification and investigation.
• Maintains written logs of inspections, reports, and correspondence.
• Ensures work is performed per manuals, policies, and contract documents.
• Provides technical safety support to the project management team.
• Attends team meetings and maintains on-site presence.
