Job summary

NexGen Contracting, A Gray Company is seeking a Site Safety Manager in Boardman, Oregon to lead safety programs on large-scale industrial projects. You will partner with the site management team to implement policies, conduct training, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

The role requires 5+ years in safety leadership, CPR and OSHA 30 certifications, and strong risk management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years in large-scale commercial or industrial project management.
• Minimum 3 years of management-level safety experience.
• Current CPR and OSHA 30-hour construction safety certifications.

Responsibilities

Site Safety Manager in Boardman, OR.

Responsibilities

• Works hand in hand with the site management team focusing on maintaining a safe workplace and establishing policies and procedures for other workers.
• Conducts safety meetings, audits, and implements follow‑up assessments.
• Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
• Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations.
• Provides the project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirms the project site fulfills industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serves as the primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management.
• Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
• Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.
• Provides technical support to the project manager team.
• Participates in team meetings and provides regular on‑site project presence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in large‑scale commercial or industrial project management, including at least 3 years of management‑level safety professional experience.
• Current certification in CPR and OSHA 30‑hour construction safety.
