Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking a bilingual on-site representative in Flushing, NY to assist M&R and DSNP members with benefits, claims, and government applications. You’ll work with Cantonese and Mandarin speakers to deliver in-person services at retail sites within a 40-hour week, 9:00am–5:30pm, with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities include translations, handling material requests, and supporting quality programs and community outreach to improve member satisfaction and plan star ratings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 3+ years of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems.
• Bilingual Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
• Must be willing to obtain Health license after 6 months of employment.
• Experience with Windows-based programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Flexibility to travel up to 10% to local retail locations as needed.
• Reside within commutable distance to the office at 136-02 Roosevelt Ave, Flushing NY 11354.
• Ability to work full-time on site (40 hours/week), Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm EST; possible overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person member services to M&R and DSNP members in languages (Cantonese/Mandarin).
• Explain benefits, resolve claims and billing issues, and fulfill material requests.
• Provide translations and assist with government program applications.
• Support quality programs and member experience initiatives to improve satisfaction and Star ratings.
