Job summary

Reliable Safety and Flow Corporation seeks a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage payroll for a unionized workforce in a Columbia, PA plant. You will process weekly payroll, apply wage provisions, and ensure accuracy and compliance with CBAs and laws.

The role requires ADP Workforce Now expertise, 5+ years of payroll experience (manufacturing/unionized), and bilingual English/Spanish communication. Responsibilities include audits, year-end tasks, and maintaining payroll confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years of experience processing payroll in a unionized workplace.
• Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, payroll taxes, and timekeeping practices.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees with a high degree of accuracy.
• Administer payroll using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Review and reconcile time and attendance records, including overtime, shift premiums, vacation, holiday pay, and other contractual pay provisions.
• Interpret and administer payroll provisions contained within the collective bargaining agreement.
• Process employee status changes including new hires, transfers, promotions, leaves of absence, and terminations.
• Administer payroll deductions, garnishments, benefit deductions, and other payroll-related transactions.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner in both English and Spanish.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and contractual payroll requirements.
• Support payroll audits, year-end processing, W-2 preparation, and payroll reporting activities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and payroll records.
