Reliable Safety and Flow Corporation is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage payroll for our unionized workforce. This role ensures accurate, timely processing and compliance with wage-and-hour laws and collective bargaining agreements, while delivering exceptional service to employees and supervisors.

The ideal candidate has extensive manufacturing payroll experience, deep knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required (Accounting, Business Admin, HR or related field).
• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years of payroll in a unionized workplace.
• Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees with high accuracy.
• Administer payroll using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Review and reconcile time and attendance records (overtime, shift premiums, vacation, holidays).
• Interpret and administer payroll provisions in the collective bargaining agreement.
• Process status changes: hires, transfers, promotions, leaves of absence, terminations.
• Administer payroll deductions, garnishments, and benefit deductions.
• Respond to payroll inquiries in English and Spanish, professionally and promptly.
• Ensure compliance with payroll laws and contractual requirements.
• Support payroll audits, year-end processing, W-2s, and reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll records.

This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with wage and hour laws and collective bargaining agreements, and providing exceptional support to employees, supervisors, and business leaders.

The ideal candidate will have extensive payroll experience in a manufacturing environment, strong knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.

How You Will Help

• Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees with a high degree of accuracy.
• Administer payroll using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Review and reconcile time and attendance records, including overtime, shift premiums, vacation, holiday pay, and other contractual pay provisions.
• Interpret and administer payroll provisions contained within the collective bargaining agreement.
• Process employee status changes including new hires, transfers, promotions, leaves of absence, and terminations.
• Administer payroll deductions, garnishments, benefit deductions, and other payroll-related transactions.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner in both English and Spanish.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and contractual payroll requirements.
• Support payroll audits, year-end processing, W-2 preparation, and payroll reporting activities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and payroll records.

What You Will Bring

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years of experience processing payroll in a unionized workplace.
• Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, payroll taxes, and timekeeping practices.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
