Job summary

Community Progress Council, Inc. seeks a passionate Bilingual Self‑Sufficiency Coach to empower individuals and families toward independence through personalized coaching, advocacy, and resource navigation.

You will collaborate with partners, co‑facilitate Getting Ahead workshops, conduct assessments, and help clients set goals for financial stability, education, and career planning while ensuring confidential, timely documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or related field preferred with at least two years of relevant experience; 60+ college credits and equivalent experience encouraged.
  • Spanish fluency required to effectively support diverse community.
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and reliable transportation; flexibility to work from various agency locations.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving; ability to analyze information and interpret regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Champion CPC’s mission, vision, and values in every interaction.
  • Build partnerships with community organizations to coordinate services.
  • Monitor community needs and identify opportunities to strengthen programs.
  • Co‑facilitate Getting Ahead in a Just‑Getting‑By World workshops to engage participants.
  • Provide one‑on‑one, Family‑Centered Coaching to help clients achieve self‑sufficiency goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify strengths, barriers, and resource needs.
  • Support clients in goal setting, financial stability, education, and career planning.
  • Deliver client‑centered coaching in accessible locations with accurate documentation.
  • Serve as a mentor and advocate, ensuring confidential access to services.
  • Prepare reports and represent CPC at meetings and events.
  • Participate in professional development and cross‑functional teams.
  • Contribute to additional projects that advance CPC’s mission.

Overview

Community Progress Council is seeking a passionate Bilingual Self‑Sufficiency Coach to join our mission‑driven team. In this rewarding role, you’ll empower individuals and families on their path to greater independence through personalized coaching, advocacy, and resource navigation.

As a key link between clients, community partners, and agency programs, you’ll help identify and address barriers to self‑sufficiency while connecting individuals with the tools and support they need to thrive. Using insights from our Community Needs Assessment, you’ll also help identify service gaps, strengthen community partnerships and contribute to innovative solutions that create lasting impact across York County.

  • Contribute flexibly to additional projects and responsibilities that advance CPC’s mission.

Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or a related field preferred, with at least two years of relevant experience. Candidates with 60+ college credits in a related field and equivalent experience are also encouraged to apply. Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual Skills: Spanish fluency required to effectively support and engage our diverse community.
  • Transportation & Flexibility: Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Flexibility to work from various agency locations as needed.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Strong ability to analyze information, interpret regulations and professional resources and make sound decisions in complex situations.
  • Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to connect and collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds.
